From Liverpool to Nashville and back again, Siobhan Maher Kennedy’s singing career spans 40 plus years, taking in River City People, who hit the singles charts with “California Dreamin” in the ’80’s and then released 2 albums before riding off into the sunset.

She started singing with her dad’s folk band at the age of seven playing Merseyside’s thriving club scene back in the seventies before joining soul band The Persuaders in the eighties.

She later formed ‘Kindred Spirit’ with The Bangles’ Debbie Peterson courtesy of music executive Miles Copeland, but remains as grounded as ever as her tales of taking a charabanc load of scousers to one of Richard Branson’s exclusive parties testify. Indeed her guitarist’s encounter with Mike Oldfield of Tubular Bells fame at the same party is one of many LOL moments in the podcast.

She’s also worked with the likes of Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, John Prine and Ray Davies.
